Ballard Avenue Development

Designed as the corporate headquarters for SSH Architecture, the program consists of offices, shared conference room and break room on the first floor and eight two-bedroom two-bathroom row houses located on the upper levels.  The site is situated in Lincoln's Historic Havelock and is adjacent to beautiful Havelock park—the major focal point of the development. Acknowledging this, the building is organized so that each office and apartment is afforded views to this exterior amenity.  Fitting into the Havelock Business District, the exterior looks as if it was built in phases over time and takes on the unique look of a century-old area.  Green space is maximized to make this building transition from the Havelock business district into the neighborhood.

The client had the desire for the building to accommodate residential row housing on the second and third floor.  Consisting of a modern and unique living space with contemporary finishes coupled with large commercial-style windows framing gorgeous views of Havelock Park, each unit creates a highly desired living space. Just one block to obvious and abundant amenities provided by the Havelock Business District such as shopping, dining, and entertainment.
