Aquinas High School

Aquinas High School approached the team at SSH Architecture to design an addition to their existing facility that would expand their educational capabilities as well as their competitive sports.  The Aquinas High School addition showcases design capabilities to integrate various functions in one facility while improving existing adjacent functions.

This addition included a new competition gymnasium to seat at least 1,000 spectators, four locker rooms, vocal music room, instrumental music room and miscellaneous associated spaces. The client’s primary objective was to provide a primary connection between the existing and new gymnasiums for tournament activities and separate player traffic from spectators. The music rooms were also a high priority to provide economical high quality spaces to emphasize the precedence and excellence of their individual programs.
